The US wants to see North Macedonia as an EU member as soon as possible, PM Dimitar Kovacevski wrote on social media on Wednesday, after his meeting with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler.
“The firm support from the US for our EU policies was confirmed again. We highly appreciate the good intentions of our American friends who reiterated, at the Leaders’ Meeting on the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, too, the message that they would continue together with us on the EU path,” the PM posted.
The next step forward towards EU integration, he added, is long-awaited and internationally supported as never before.
