Children with Completed Three-Dose DTP Vaccination Allowed in Kindergartens

Children that have completed the three-dose DTP vaccination over the past six months will be allowed to go to kindergarten.

However, they will have to complete the revaccination process after six months. The decision was made at Thursday’s session of the Infectious Diseases Commission.

“The pertussis situation is not good. It is not stable. We are in this position due to the irresponsible behaviour by many citizens over the past years,” Commission President Aleksandar Petlickovski said, expressing concern over the data according to which around 50% of children in kindergartens in Skopje are not vaccinated.
