Deputy PM Dimitrov Holds Meetings in Brussels

Germany isn’t giving up on Macedonia’s European perspective despite the announcements of potential blockades by Bulgaria. That stand was presented at Tuesday’s meeting in Brussels between the Deputy PM for European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, and German Minister for Europe Michael Roth, held shortly before the General Affairs Council. Germany also expects the first Intergovernmental Session, which is considered an official start of membership negotiations, to be held by the end of its EU Presidency, it was said in the press-release. The Conference being held during the Presidency will represent also joint success of Macedonia, the EU, and Germany, as holder of the chairmanship, Dimitorv and Roth agreed.
