Spasovski’s Interpellation Last Item at Wednesday’s Parliamentary Session

The last item on the agenda of Wednesday’s session at Parliament was the interpellation for the Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski, submitted by the Alliance for Albanians and Alternative due to the escape of former Director of UBK, Saso Mijalkov. The coordinator of the VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group Nikola Micevski requested that the interpellations for the Minister of Justice, Bojan Maricic and the Deputy Prime Minister for Fight against Corruption, Ljupco Nikolovski, for the poor ranking of the country in the fight against corruption be included at this session as well. “The Rules of Procedure recommend at the interpellation of a holder of public office, that the person in question has the right, but not the obligation to respond within 15 days. In those 15 days, the two in question did not respond to the interpellation and according to the rules of procedure, I was obliged to put items on the agenda at the next session. They were set for the 36th session. You asked for those two points to be removed from that session,” PS Talat Xhaferi said. Micevski reacted that they had not been withdrawn and that they could be put on the agenda of the current session.
