A forest fire outbroke at the border region between North Macedonia and Greece, near Gevgelija. Videos published by citizens on social networks revealed that the fire has reached the nearby casinos in the Gevgelija area. Due to the strong wind, the fire started spreading towards Greek territory, because of which the Macedonian firefighting teams warned the firefighting unit in Polikastro, Greece. Firefighting teams and teams of the Macedonian Army are also deployed in Staro Nagoricane, near the archaeological site of Kokino, where a forest fire is active for three days now, but is localised thanks to the interventions of the army helicopters. According to the Crisis Management Centre, many forest fires are active around the country.
