Parliament Once Again Lack Quorum for Voting

The Parliament of North Macedonia started on Friday the 71st session, at which the MPs debated the proposal of 20 MPs for appointing Hysni Ismali from Alternativa as new Vice-speaker of the Parliament. VMRO-DPMNE MP Nikola Micevski called upon Ismaili, if he is appointed, to respect and stick to the laws and regulations and the Rule of Procedure of the Parliament. However, after Micevski’s speech, all MPs of VMRO-DPMNE left the hall, because of which the Parliament once again lacked quorum in order to vote about Ismaili’s appointment or for any other points on the daily order. Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi accused VMRO-DPMNE of abusing the Parliament for political agendas.
