Filipce: Regardless of Date, Elections will Need to have Strict Protocol

According to Health Minister Venko Filipce, the Contagious Diseases Commission will recommend, on the basis of its analyses, whether and when there will be conditions to safely hold elections. He said at a press-conference on Monday that whenever elections were administered, they would need to be held in line with a strict protocol to protect the health of citizens. The Minister denied the speculations that the number of coronavirus tests was falling due to political reasons. Filipce announced that consultations were underway to normalise life in the country. Clinic directors will hold a meeting on Tuesday in order for those facilities to start to function in full capacity while complying with measures and avoiding crowds. Filipce added that 184 of 225 infected health workers had defeated the virus, with two negative tests, all of whom had returned to work. That means clinics and hospitals that had problems with their functioning are now working.
