Pertussis Situation: Demiri Announces More Vaccination Points, Inspections Start

Commenting on the pertussis situation, Health Minister Ilir Demiri has said there will be strengthened inspections in kindergartens to check whether fully unvaccinated or partly children are being allowed. That will be the case at a national level, not only in Skopje.

“We have asked for the number of vaccination points to increase,” the Minister also stated on Monday, when the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate’s inspections at kindergartens started.

Asked about the issue of young doctors who have the obligation to be part of a paid internship process, he said if a positive response came from the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the young doctors would face no obstacles to be hired at vaccination points in order for the vaccination scope to increase.
