Albanian FM to be Held Liable for Insult of Macedonian People

The Administrative Court in Tirana demands initiating procedure against Albanian FM Ditmitr Bushati for insult against the Macedonian people. The Court has upheld the appeal by Macedonian association Sonce which has asked for public apology form Dushati for the interview where he used the term Slavic-Macedonian. “Feeling that the terminology used by Minister Bushati is offensive and degrading for Macedonians, we have lodged appeal with the Commissioner for protection against discrimination accompanied by proper evidence demanding public apology buy Minister Bushati for the use of term Slavic-Macedonians,” Sonce writes. The Commissioner, however, rejected their appeal, citing lack of identification evidence for Sterjovski after which the appeal was lodged with the Administrative Court.
