AA Leader Sela Demands Constitutional Changes for citizenship of Albanians

President of the Alliance of Albanians Ziadin Sela assesses that his party is the true opposition party whose representative should have attended the leaders meeting and should have its member in SEC rather than the Besa wing led by Kasami. Sela extended support to the name agreement with Greece, but the Alliance will present amendments once the Constitution is open for revision and will demand improvement of the agreement. Namely, in the area of citizenship Sela says they will demand that for Macedonian nationals it will stay ‘Macedonian’ whereas for Albanians they will demand that it reads ‘Albanian/Citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia’. “Through the process of opening constitutional amendments we will make all nations feel equal,” stated Sela, adding the Alliance will also submit amendments to the Constitution regarding use of official languages.
