SEC: Two-week Deadline Enough for Credible Voter List to be Achieved

According to the State Election Commission (SEC), the number of 1.8 million voters that are part of the voter list is realistic. The two-week deadline is enough for a credible list to be achieved. SEC President Oliver Derkoski said on Friday that the updating activities were being carried out through the data from the State Statistical Office and from the Interior Ministry. Also, he urged citizens to check the accuracy of their data. As the SEC President also noted, Parliament, as an authorised proposer of the referendum, will have a right to privileged access to media for advertising. All other stakeholders will have a right to lead propaganda with own funds, under market conditions. The SEC also explained the way in which members of the diaspora will be able to register in at the diplomatic-consular missions. So far, over 150 citizens have applied electronically.
