VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee Session

VMRO-DPMNE does not acknowledge the referendum results and considers the Prespa agreement as politically void, VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikolovski stated late Thursday following the Executive Committee session discussing the referendum and political situation in the country. He called on the government to stop the pressure again those that voted against or did not go out to vote at the referendum. “VMRO-DPMNE’s Executive Committee has concluded that the referendum should be declared unsuccessful considering that only 36 % of voters voted, which clearly shows the will of the people against accepting this agreement,” reads the party press release. The Committee also noted there is need for formation of Inquiry Committee in parliament that will look into all irregularities on the day of the referendum. With regard to early elections VMRO-DPMNE demands previously a technocratic government to be formed at the Przino model with a 100-day tenure.
