Greek PM Tsipras: Left not selling Macedonia

At Friday’s event organised by SYRIZA in Thessaloniki, Greek PM Alexis Tsipras said the left wasn’t selling Macedonia. As he added, it is saving Greek Macedonia’s cultural and historical heritage. According to the Greek PM, for 25 years, nationalisms in both countries prevented every attempt to solve the name dispute, while the deal signed in June benefits Greece, Greek Macedonia, peace, cooperation and joint development in the region. “Patriotism is loving one’s fatherland and sacrificing for it, not hating other fatherlands,” the Greek PM stressed. The same day, at New Democracy’s 12th Congress, the leader, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, said his party would never ratify the Prespa Agreement.
