Aid and Condolences for Albanian earthquake Victims

The Protection and Rescue Directorate (DZS) sent team of 41 persons of which 35 are members of the State Protection and Rescue Forces, specialists in excavation rescue, two dog guides from MoI for search and rescue, four Macedonian Red Cross members and 11 vehicles to Albania in order to aid the rescue efforts, after the devastating earthquake that hit the country. The Directorate Director, Adnan Dzaferoski expressed his condolence for the earthquake victims and as the DZS press-release informs, he spent the day contacting all relevant institutions that offered to help. At the Government of the Republic of Macedonia sitting the same day, it was decided to separate 6 million denars from the budget as primary financial aid toward the rebuilding process after the earthquake. The municipality of Tetovo decided to announce days of grieving 27 and 28 November, as well as to separate humanitarian aid funds from the municipality reserve fund in order to help the victims in Albania. President, Stevo Pendarovski, and VMRO-DPMNE Leader, Hristijan Mickoski, in separate phone calls expressed their deep condolence to the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta. PS, Talat Xhaferi also sent a telegram to the institutional and citizens of Albania, expressing his condolence, saying that he will keep the victims and their families in his thoughts and prayers. The Alliance for Albanians, in their press-release say that they stand with Albania on this sorrowful day, and they will request for the Government and the Health Ministry to send additional resources such as fire trucks, medication, to hold a blood drive for the earthquake victims.
