Derkoski: Time Once Again Needed to Process Citizens’ Personal Data

The State Election Commission (SEC) has put on paper the entire procedure that’s necessary to be carried out before parliamentary elections are held. Though most of the procedures had been completed before the start of the state of emergency, time is once again needed to process personal data of citizens, according to SEC President Oliver Derkoski. He said the SEC was sending to President Pendarovski an opinion that would need to be taken into consideration when the decision on the election date would be made. On 22 March, the Government adopted a regulation with legal force stopping all election-related activities. According to the time period the SEC provides for in relation to the voter list, around 45 days would be needed after the end of the state of emergency.
