State Election Commission Receives Voting Protocols

The day before the start of the election campaign, the State Election Commission received the health protocols for the election process. The document prepared by the Infectious Diseases Committee in detail states how the election day should go from handing over the election material to the election commissions’ opening of the polling stations and counting the votes after the polls close. SEC President Oliver Derkoski says that the protocol arrived at noon and so far, he has not had the opportunity to review it in detail. Following the government’s decision to provide additional voting facilities, he and other members of the commission say they are on the ground and have so far made list with number of rooms that meet the requirements for safe voting in an epidemic. The election campaign begins Tuesday (23 June) at midnight.
