Speaker of the Macedonian Parliament Talat Xhaferi held a meeting on Thursday with French Ambassador to Macedonia Christian Thimonier. At the meeting, Thimonier congratulated Xhaferi on his re-election as Parliament Speaker, and on the election of the new Government of Macedonia. Xhaferi introduced Thimonier to the activities and initiative of the Parliament planned for the upcoming 4-year mandate, including those focusing on the EU-integration of Macedonia, as well as those for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants also discussed at the meeting continuation of excellent cooperation between Macedonia’s Parliament and the French Senate and National Assembly, pointing out that it can improve overall bilateral relations and friendship.
