Parliament Supports ID Draft-Law in First Reading

On Thursday afternoon, with 62 votes in favour, Parliament supported the ID Draft-Law, in first reading, and forwarded it to further procedure. Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said the text had been proposed for there to be compliance with the constitutional provisions concerning the implementation of the Prespa Agreement and Law on Use of Languages. As he added, it is important for the law to be adopted as soon as possible. According to MP Pavle Trajanov, MPs should think about including data about the blood type of the holder of the document. “Traffic accidents happen. In other crisis situations, it’s exceptionally important to intervene quickly and protect the health of citizens through received blood plasma,” he said.
