“The Slovenian engagement and the conclusions reached at the Bled Summit are proof that Slovenia is sincerely working towards the integration of the countries in the region into the European family. The integration of the Western Balkans is not only an administrative and political issue, but above all an essential contribution to regional and European stability, which has been proven by the current situation in Ukraine,” said Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani. “As a candidate country for EU membership, we are on the threshold before the last phase – that of negotiations, after which we will complete our friendship within the European family. Slovenia’s presidency of the EU is almost over, a process in which North Macedonia received full support for our European integration,” adds Osmani. For his Slovenian counterpart Anze Logar, the coordinated and united response of North Macedonia and Slovenia to the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a clear indication that the two countries share the same values and said that the country in Slovenia can always see a sincere partner and friend in the integration process.
