Gjorgiev and Dimitrov Perceive Opening of Clubs Differently

The first people of the mixed Commission for historical issues are looking at the opening of cultural clubs in North Macedonia and Bulgaria with different eyes. For the president of the Macedonian team, Dragi Gjorgiev, they do not directly affect the work of the Commission, but the political uncertainty in Sofia. In an interview with Radio Free Europe, he says that the unstable situation in Bulgaria, without a political government, contributes to the slow work of Bulgarian colleagues. Regarding the opening of Bulgarian cultural clubs in North Macedonia, whose names, as he points out, have no contact points with culture, he says that instead of a bridge, they become a bone of contention. For the first person of the Bulgarian team of historians, Angel Dimitrov, the legal changes in North Macedonia, which called into question the names of the Bulgarian clubs Vancho Mihailov and Tsar Boris III, will affect the work of the commission for historical issues. In an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio, Dimitrov accuses the politicians in Skopje of turning the bilateral relations between Skopje and Sofia backward.
