EU Ambassador to Skopje David Geer said during a visit to Tetovo that the current military situation in Ukraine accents even more the necessity of enlargement of the EU and the integration of North Macedonia. “North Macedonia and Albania have fulfilled all conditions to start the accession negotiations, and the EU wants to open these negotiations as soon as possible, with special praise for the efforts of the governments in Skopje and Sofia to overcome their bilateral issues. The EU remains focused on maintaining the European perspective on a high level in your country, and we are glad to see progress in all fields, but there is still a lot to be done,” Geer said.
