The President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier congratulated over the phone to Macedonia PM Zoran Zaev the adoption of the Prespa Agreement and Macedonia’s progress towards NATO and EU membership, the Macedonian government reported via a press release. “PM Zaev thanked the German President Steinmeier for all the support Germany provided to Macedonia in the processes for integration in NATO and EU, as well as for the adoption of the Prespa Agreement, which resolves the name dispute between Macedonia and Greece. Stainmeier welcomed Zaev’s diplomatic action, saying they should serve as good examples for resolution of other disputes in the region,” writes the government’s press release.
