Sweden yet to decide upon Extradition of Davidkovski

Citing the Embassy of Sweden to Macedonia as source, the daily newspaper Nezavisen Vesnik reports that Dejan Davidkovski remains in custody in Sweden, after several media reported that Sweden refused to extradite him to Macedonia. Davidkovski is one of the defendants in the case focusing on the incidents in the Parliament from 27 April 2017. “The procedure is similar like here in North Macedonia; once a Local Court decides there are no legal grounds for Davidkovski to be extradited to North Macedonia, the resolution is forwarded to the Supreme Court of Sweden, and its decision will determine the further processing of the case. The Swedish authorities also deny the claims that Davidkovski was advised to seek political asylum by official Stockholm,” they inform from the Swedish Embassy in Skopje.
