EU Ambassador to Macedonia Samuel Zbogar informed via Twitter that EU will provide assistance to Macedonia to deal with the ongoing COVID-19 situation. “North Macedonia will receive aid by the Mechanism for Civil protection of the European Union, which will include 5 energy generators, 25 tents, 200 matrices and 1,000 blankets. Besides this, Austria already sent a donation of gloves and disinfection products,” Zbogar wrote on Twitter. In meantime, the European Commission (EC) has suggested establishment of a fund of 3 billion euros for the Western Balkan countries and several other countries as assistance to tackle the pandemic. With this decision, EC will provide 160 million euros in aid for Macedonia.
