According to VMRO-DPMNE, SDSM leader and ex-PM Zoran Zaev is becoming a desired element for Macedonia’s neighbours. “We must be aware of this situation that Macedonia is unfortunately facing. The Republic of Macedonia’s European agenda, according to the announcements we’re getting from our eastern neighbour, is frozen. Progress towards the EU depends on additional conditions about which we must be aware are, inter alia, a consequence of the Macedonian diplomacy’s shortcomings and silence,” Aleksandar Nikoloski, Vice President of the opposition party, stated at a press-conference on Monday. The opposition party believes that the latest stand presented by PES President Sergei Stanishev that SDSM and Zaev being in power in Macedonia is what’s best for Bulgaria best reflects that.
