Solutions Can Always be Found on Negotiating Table, Borissov Tells Buckovski

At the meeting with Special Representative for Bulgaria Vlado Buckovski on Thursday, Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov said he had always believed solutions could be found on the negotiating table. “The current and future generations will forgive neither Bulgaria nor the Republic of North Macedonia if they don’t find a compromise that will provide a perspective,” he added. According to the Bulgarian PM, finding a sustainable and lasting solution to the “remaining open issues in the bilateral issues” takes a pragmatic, honest, and well-intentioned approach, expressed in concrete activities. Borissov considers that restoring mutual trust will take strict fulfilment of all obligations arising from the 2017 Skopje-Sofia deal.
