VMRO-DPMNE’s Mickoski Declares Victory of Opposition in Local Elections

Late on Sunday night, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski declared a victory of the opposition in the local elections. As he added, the result is a big step towards the final victory. “Despite the pressures, bribery, Spasovski’s police, Ruskovska’s Prosecutor’s Office, Zaev’s primitivism. This is a triumph of those that voted, but also of those that didn’t,” the opposition leader stressed, adding his party would not let citizens down. Mickoski mentioned the municipalities in which, as it was said, a VMRO-DPMNE victory in round one is certain. Among them are Kisela Voda, Aerodrom, Gazi Baba, Prilep, Stip, and Vinica. He said there would be a second round in Centar and likely in Gjorce Petrov. According to VMRO-DPMNE, it won in the first round in 19 municipalities and will enter the second round in another 31.
