Interior Minister: Peaceful and Democratic Atmosphere on Election Day

Election day was held in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said after the end of the voting process on Sunday. According to him, more serious violations of the election process weren’t registered. As Spasovski added, compared to last year’s elections, the number of reported cases fell by 40%, from 151 to 91. There were 42 cases of agitation, 7 of which were rejected as unfounded. There are 13 reports for election bribery, five of which were rejected, seven reports for threats and harassment, and six reports concerning taking a photo of a ballot.
