Within its 56th session the Parliament of Macedonia with 100 votes in favour and without any against or abstentions elected the President, Vice President and members of the State Election Commission. The continuation of the session also saw adoption of amendments to the Electoral Code with 99 votes in favour and the laws on Government and funding of political parties with 101 votes each in a shortened procedure. There was no debate on any of the amendments. Under the amendments to the Law on Government it is anticipated that 100 days before parliamentary elections the Prime Minister to resign and the Parliament to compose transient government for organized the elections led by a new PM nominated by the party with biggest number of MP seats in parliament.
