First Deputy PM and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations Artan Grubi informed that due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the Ministry of Political System decided to cancel the Friday concert which was part of the activities for observation of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Ohrid Framework Agreement (OFA). The central celebration which is to take place in Skopje on Friday however, is not cancelled. “I really do not understand the mass hysteria among citizens on social networks against this event, and I hope it is not targeted against OFA itself. The event we intend to organise will include around 200 guests in a hall with capacity for 1,500 people, and all anti-COVID protocols that are currently in force will be respected,” Deputy PM Grubi said. Majority of citizens addressed criticism at the government on social networks, claiming that the new COVID restrictions will be enforces on a later date in order to be certain that the celebration will take place.
