The Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani held a meeting on Thursday with German Minister for Europe Michael Roth. Osmani said he’d received confirmation from Roth that the German Government would support a date for negotiations for Macedonia and that it would firmly defend that stand during the decision-making process within the frameworks of the Bundestag. “I’ve received confirmation from Minister Roth that the German Government fully supports the European integration of the country and that it will firmly stand, during the session of the Bundestag, in defence of the Government’s position for a start of negotiations with the Republic of North Macedonia in October. 26 days to go until the big decision,” Osmani said. From Berlin, the Deputy PM will travel to Warsaw.
