Commenting on the Investigative Reporting Laboratory’s (IRL) documentary about the 2021 Tetovo hospital fire, ex-Health Minister Bekim Sali, who succeeded Venko Filipce, said on Tuesday that as a result of the procedure over the fire, the victims had burned a second time, while those responsible had been rewarded.
He asked what obligation the Government had towards ex-Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Koco Angjusev and why there was stomping on the victims for a benefit of several million euros. Sali, who also called for Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski to be held to account too, also asked what else needed to happen for PM Dimitar Kovacevski and the current Health Minister, Fatmir Mexhiti to resign.
In response, the Health Ministry said Sali was manipulating over the modular outpatient clinics case. As the institution added, he was the one that approved the payment for them.
