Four Security and Counter-Intelligence Administration (UBK) employees, including Toni Jakimovski, former Head of the UBK’s First Administration, were arrested on Thursday by police in an investigation of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organised Crime and Corruption and Interior Ministry’s Organised Crime Department. Jakimovski, who was also Head of former UBK Director Saso Mijalkov’s Cabinet, was arrested after the end of the hearing over the Target-Fortress case, opened by the Special Prosecutor’s Office. According to initial information obtained by Telma TV, the arrests are in relation to money embezzlement by the UBK carried out by spending several hundreds of thousands of euros. The money was spent for purposes completely unrelated to the service’s needs.
