Greece sends Note Verbale to Macedonia on NATO Protocol Ratification

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially sent the note verbale to its Macedonian counterpart notifying the government of the ratification of the Protocol for Accession of Macedonia in NATO by the Greek Parliament. The Macedonian government is to start the process of implementation of the new name “Republic of North Macedonia” by changing all sign boards on roads, state institutions and other similar places. The process was started with the replacement of the iron letter on the roof of the governmental building. As part of the entire process, a special event for raising the flag of NATO in front of the governmental building will be held on Tuesday, at which PM Zoran Zaev will address the nation. The following step after this is for both Macedonia and Greece to send letters to the United Nations notifying that the Prespa Agreement is officially in force and that the name dispute is finally resolved.
