Kovacevski-Macron: France Wants to See Country Integrated in EU

The President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia,
met in Bratislava with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. The meeting was also
attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani. The Prime Minister thanked the
French President for his personal involvement in the EU enlargement process and the
integration of North Macedonia into the Union. The interlocutors agreed that there must be
no delay in the European integration process, and therefore, this time too, support from
France and the international community will not be absent in the further stages and
challenges on the way to EU membership. President Macron welcomed the Government&’s
determination to work on the implementation of the European agenda and emphasized that he
would continue to have strong and vocal support of France on that path. Kovacevski and
Macron agreed that now is the moment to make a clear step forward in the approach path and
enable the successful integration of North Macedonia into the EU.
