The reactions over alleged secret meetings about Criminal Code changes have continued. In Friday’s interview with Alsat, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, asked which person from DUI had secretly negotiated with ex-PM Nikola Gruevski, said DUI leader Ali Ahmeti and Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi should be asked a question about USB sticks they had received in the spring of 2022 and what they contained.
Mickoski didn’t reveal details the following day either. He only said the USB sticks contained two out of three documents. “Well, you will ask also Talat Xhaferi and Ali Ahmeti about the contents of that USB stick, of that envelope, and what document was in that envelope,” he said.
For Telma, Xhaferi, who’s part of DUI, described Mickoski’s comments as speculation, saying that if Mickoski had something, he should prove that. According to Democratic Movement leader Izet Mexhiti, on Europe Day, President Pendarovski had secret meetings in his cabinet where the issue of pardoning Gruevski was discussed. In an interview with MTV1, Pendarovski denied that.
