Trial for Organizers of “27 April” Continues

The trial for the organizers of the events in the Parliament on 27 April 2017 continued at Thursday’s hearing. Former President Gjorge Ivanov also testified, who said that as the then President of the country he had no information about the announcement of an organized entry at Parliament on 27 April 2017. Regarding the information provided for declaring martial law on 27 April 2017, Ivanov said that everything related to martial law came from a text published in a weekly, few days earlier. “Falsehoods and speculations were presented which were then transmitted and commented. The whole text is fiction, because the constitution is clear. As a state, we have strictly defined mechanisms for preventing the abuse of martial law. It is a textbook example of psychological war, for someone to take action, and the blame falls on the president and the army,” said Ivanov.
