The Greek Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis sent an official letter to the Deputy PM for European Affairs of Macedonia Bujar Osmani. In the letter, Varvitsiotis reveals that Greece voices support for the integration of Macedonia in the EU. “The process of integration of the West Balkans in EU is a strategic priority for Greece, hence our support for the integration of North Macedonia in EU, in accordance with predetermined conditions and based on own credit, for which the full implementation of the Prespa Agreement is an imperative,” Varvitsiotis writes to Osmani. From Osmani’s office they also confirmed that in the letter, Varvitsiotis also announced intentions for a bilateral meeting with Osmani soon.
