US Secretary of State Blinken Holds Meetings in Skopje

On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Skopje, where he was welcomed by PM Dimitar Kovacevski.

“A warm welcome to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. At the meeting this afternoon, we once again highlighted our excellent relations and discussed the support provided by the US in continuity on our path to full- fledged EU membership and implementation of necessary reforms” the PM said on social media.

Secretary Blinken met also with FM and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Bujar Osmani. In a press release about the meeting, the Ministry said the focus had been on current international events, especially regarding the situation in Ukraine.

In a statement at the Ministry, Secretary Blinken said: “It is wonderful to be here, wonderful to be in North Macedonia, wonderful to be with all of our colleagues coming from NATO. That seems appropriate because North Macedonia is such a strong Ally and partner for the United States and for all of our other Allies in NATO. We see that every single day..”
