27 April Case: Vasilevski Testifies about Developments at VMRO-DPMNE HQ

During Friday’s trial over the case concerning the 27 April 2017 incidents in Parliament, in which former senior officials of VMRO-DPMNE are charged with organising the situation, Aleksandar Vasilevski said former PM Nikola Gruevski and the ex-head of the Security and Counter-Intelligence Administration, Saso Mijalkov, had never given him instructions about the storming. All of that, according to the witness, was organised by the highest leadership of the opposition party and by the Administration. “We went to the HQ of VMRO-DPMNE after we’d parked in the multi-storey car park. I entered, got to the eighth floor. Mitko Cavkov, Kiril Bozinovski, Spiro Ristovski, Mile Janakieski, and Biljana Briskoska-Boskovski were there. All of them were talking on the phone, watching on the TV what was happening outside the Parliament building. All orders were being made here. Cavkov ordered Mitko Pesov for police to act passively. Spiro contacted Bogdan Ilievski. Briskoska-Boskovski was disappointed that MPs Antonijo Milososki, Ilija Dimovski, Johan Tarculovski hadn’t caused an incident in Parliament, hadn’t got the job done. Briskoska-Boskovski gave an instruction to Trajko Veljanoski for Parliament’s doors to be opened,” Vasilevski explained.
