Pegasus and Predator Case: Opposition to Ask for Data Declassification

Only MPs with a security certificate at Parliament’s Committee for Supervising the Work of the National Security Agency and the Intelligence Agency have heard who used the Pegasus and Predator spying systems.

After Monday’s session, the opposition said the security services had submitted information about the scandal concerning unauthorised interception of communication, adding nonetheless that it hadn’t denied their accusations that the authorities had knowingly allowed for them to be manufactured and used to intercept communication of citizens in the country.

VMRO-DPMNE MP Aleksandar Nikoloski even said officials from the opposition had been physically followed by security structures. Additionally, the party will ask for the data to be declassified so that the public finds out whether institutions, parties or physical persons use “these malicious systems”.
