Priorities providing reconciliation, regional cooperation, and speeding up EU-Atlantic integration, but also strengthening democracy, fundamental rights, and values, the rule of law, fighting corruption, security, and climate change were discussed at the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Ministerial, held in Skopje on Wednesday.
Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Maricic stated that at the meeting, it had been shown that there was unity on the road to full-fledged EU membership and that on the path to accelerated EU integration of the whole region, the European Commission’s Growth Plan and the South East Europe 2030 Strategy represented strong support.
Participants adopted a joint statement, in which SEECP members that are part of the EU offer their firm support to SEECP countries that are not EU members.
